I think the short game I created can be described as an authored story- it still allows the player to make choices, but the game leads you in a direction. The story is told by the ending, letting you travel with the other npcs (no matter how briefly of a story) to bring you to a desired ending! Deviating from the choice and community leads the player to something less desirable- leading to community being rewarded and seen as a good thing for the theme of the game.
